Kelsey & Evan | Engagement

It is really amazing how social media allows us to connect with people all over the world. Kelsey reached out to me through Instagram when she randomly found my work! It didn't take long for me to realize Kelsey was going to be a dream client, a bride that I would adore working with. Not only does she have the sweetest, dearest heart, but she was so complimentary of my work and knew right away she wanted me there on her wedding day capturing all the precious moments.

It truly means the world to a creative, artist, photographer and any other vendor when a client hands you the keys to their vision and dream for their wedding day and says, "Run with it; we trust you!".

Kelsey and Evan are from Pittsburg, PA and will have their wedding in the gorgeous Excelsior venue in Lancaster, PA! When we initially started talking about their engagement session, we knew we wanted to shoot somewhere grand. I threw out the idea of shooting at Longwood Gardens (secretly hoping they would be up for it!). Not only did they quickly reply back saying "Yes, we love it!", but they drove all the way from Pittsburgh to Philly so we could shoot at Longwood Gardens.

Kelsey & Evan were an absolute joy and dream to work with. The sweet love they have for each other is contagious and so precious. They are the happiest couple ever and it overflows from their hearts. While they danced during their session, I kept thinking about that sweet song in the Disney movie "Cinderella".

So this is love, mmm...
So this is love
So this is what makes life divine

I'm all aglow, mmm...
And now I know
The key to all heaven is mine

My heart has wings, mmm...
And I can fly
I'll touch every star in the sky

So this is the miracle
That I've been dreaming of
So, this is love

Becky & Danny | Engagement

I've known Becky and Danny for a few years now. They both are incredibly talented musicians and songwriters who are so in love with each other! It's pretty adorable. They have the sweetest relationship that is full of quiet laughter and soft glowing smiles. They are simple and content, but they have dreams to travel, write and see the world. :)

When Becky and I started talking about their engagement session, we both knew pretty early on that it needed to be dreamy, simple, and woodsy with sprinkles of music and books. Shelby Forest provided that perfect backdrop to pull off our vision. The lake was an extra bonus, along with the gorgeous painted trees with vibrant red, orange and yellow leaves. We could not have asked for a better cloudy day and hints of sun rays that peaked through at the just the right times.  I am excited to capture their early Spring wedding and have a feeling it will represent their love and passions very well. <3

Nao & Daniel | Engagement

"I sank into the sea
Wrapped in piano strings
Few words could open me
But you knew them all."

Nao and Daniel's engagement session is one of my favorites to date. I love feeling the raw, beautiful emotion they embrace between each other in these images. Also, rooftops...*heart eyes*  They are one of the sweetest couples I know, full of grace, joy and love for people, life, their Savior and each other. God has given them so many incredible talents and gifts, to name one: Both Nao and Daniel are incredibly accomplished musicians and band members in the band, You the Few. It is a privilege to be apart of this beautiful moment in their lives and it is so exciting to see where God will take them as husband and wife.

I cannot wait for their vineyard wedding just outside St. Louis this August! It is going to be beautifully unique and express exactly who they are as a couple. :)
